Comment | The process simulation report shall as a minimum include: - Feed stream descriptions, including the development over the production lifetime; - Product specifications; - A reasoning for the defined process design cases, e.g.: - Which production situation is represented by each case, and how do the cases together represent the expected operation envelope; - If applicable, which variations are included in the feed stream descriptions to accommodate uncertainties in the feed stream properties and conditions; - A description of the calculation models used in the process simulation; - Specifications for each unit operation in the process simulations; - Summary tables with resulting stream and equipment data. The stream numbers shall coincide with the stream numbers on the PFD's. |
NORSOK Z-001 rationale | Documentation of the process simulations defining the heat and material balances as basis for design of the plant shall consist of the following two parts:
1. Executable process simulation files;
2. The process simulation report. All process design cases, i.e. all cases where stream data are used for equipment and line/valve sizing, shall be documented by 1. and 2. above. |
